Ataturk MuseumThe old NAIM PALAS HOTEL, a typical Izmir kosk converted into a hotel in 1862, became the army headquarters in the last years of the Independence Struggle. Presented by the Municipality of Izmir to Ataturk In 1927, it was converted after his death into a museum and opened to the public in 1940. It contains Ataturk's personal belongings, photographs, oil paintings, marble and bronze busts, as well as a caique which he had used. |
